Under The Cherry Moon underrated?
Movie critics have blasted this movie left & right throughout the last 20 years.
"It's not as good as Purple Rain" they'll say.
Purple Rain is a classic in it's own right however UTCM is NOT Purple Rain, it's a very classy & original love story.
The scenery & location of the movie is really cool. Prince & co-star Jerome Benton (of The Time) have wonderful chemistry. Though the movie is based around Prince trying to win the affection of a rich heiress, the comedy Jerome & him deliver is hilarious.
The soundtrack "Parade" is a gem as well. Here we see another side of Prince musically as he incorperates a classical & jazzy sound with his touch of funk we all know & love.
Anyone else appreciate this film?
