Wow.... It's been a while since I last logged in here. Sorry about that.CO is treating me famously. Things are well. Got a lot going on in the upcoming weeks. Lots of Holiday parties to attend. This Saturday is a party at a couple friends of Ed's. Last I heard, there would be approximately 60 people in attendance. Great fun. Tuesday is a pizza party down in Golden with a bunch of Ed's ADV friends.Next Saturday is another holiday party with a bunch of ADV'ers.Next Sunday is a Hooligan race up in Nunn which I'm really looking forward to. I don't get to ride motorcycles near enough.Over the holidays, we're visiting Ed's parents the week of X-mas so we're attempting to get my car in working order, while spending the least possible money, eh? I've been on a roller coaster with that thing. I've had to have a power steering line replaced and now we're looking at replacing the starter switch because it doesn't like to start in cold weather. It's been driving me batty. But Ed's a trooper and has been working diligently to try to figure out the problem. We have something else in mind the week of X-mas and that road trip to Daytona Beach, as well. We'll see on that one. Until we know specifics, we'll be keeping it under wraps.
Hola Pope Bobo! Thanks to everyone who's signed my guestbook. Sorry I've been absent, once again... I swear, it's not my fault! Let's see.... what's new with me...I got my motorcycle license endorsement! Just the other weekend! Now, to work on getting a motorcycle ready for me to ride. Yes indeedy... We got a big winter storm up in the mountains over this past weekend. Dumped darn near a foot of snow up in the park. For 3 days, the mountain peaks were snow capped again. It was beautiful. I have a feeling that summer is going to come to an early end. But I'm ready! This winter I'll still be getting out backpacking and such. The Geekster and I are still doing well. Summer has kept us both busy, mostly doing our separate things. About every other weekend we spend together. It works out well with our hobbies. This coming week, I've got a number of East Coasters making a trip to CO for a trip to the Maroon Bells. It will include No_Granola, Jackstraw, Big_Load, and Cowgiano. I'm apparently the token female on this trip. So with that, I'll be posting a great number of pictures and an actual trip report sometime upon our return. *GASP*Stay tuned. We won't return until next Saturday'ish, so be patient. Until then, happy trails. Cheryl
But first to post pictures from a few weekends ago. Ed and I are headed down to the San Juan Mountains to explore the areas of Ouray and Telluride. From what I understand, there is a hot springs in Ouray that we'll be checking out one night. Rather looking forward to that. But there's much to do before then. Still need to seam seal the tent, grocery shop, find the leak in the air mattress, etc., etc..... It will all come together, though. So, more pictures to come!
