I read your question a couple hours ago and went to the site you referenced. I looked at the guitar and couldn't see anything wrong with it as far as being incredibly inexpensive, from a well known and generally respectable manufacturer and is only a 3/4 sized axe. So, why two hours later am I back on here?
Because you sound like a nice kid who genuinely wants to learn to play a guitar and learn to play it well. Over my 45 years of playing guitar I've taught a lot of young people (in fact I prefer teaching kids) and I always tell them and their parents the same thing - don't jump at a cheap guitar. Almost invariably they'll disappoint you - sometimes to the point where you'll give up and buy a Guitar Hero (a bane on real music.)
On that same site there are a number of good, albeit more expensive, guitars. I would advise you go into the bucket for more money and end up with something you'll be happy with and something that will last as long as you want to play.
One is an Ibanez for just $80 more http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-SGT110VS-SAGE-SERIES-Acoustic-Guitar-512325-i1172987.gc which looks like a better deal to me.
However, if I were you, and your mom, I would start saving now for a little known and well kept secret that will more than make up for the extra. It's the little sunburst Seagull S6 shown at

I know, it's more than $200 more but its value is in the pleasure you'd get from learning on such an instrument. Believe me, that pleasure lasts a lifetime and is worth the wait and extra cash. Besides, it's a pretty little thing. If you have access to these guitars, play them and see what I mean.
Mom, I know I sound like I'm shilling for Seagull but if this is your daughter's passion, I'd feel terrible if I didn't put my two cents in.
