Parents, what do you think about Bratz dolls for your child?
I'm writing an essay for school on the media's negative effect on the youth of today. One of my main points is the "Bratz" dolls and their skimpy clothing and lavish lifstyles. I'd like to know what parents think about these toys, and whether or not you allow your children to play with them.

I have hated them my whole life... not that my liofe is really that old. In second grade, I remember going to a birthday party with a bunch of girls, and they all had their bratz dolls to play with. They thought they were the greatest things in the world. The birthday girl got about 12 for her birthday. They all played with their bratz dolls (someone let me borrow one of their many), and had a blast. I sat there with a plastic toy in my hand wondering what all the fuss was about. We are now all in 8th grade. I HATE dressing up, make-up, and anything preppy. All the other girls can't go through the day without texting at least 500 messages, HAVE to have theire make-up, and wear terrible clothes. Not good... I still ate those dolls..
